![]() ![]() ![]() I'm not knocking the pricing of slate plugins at all or I wouldn't have bought them, but as a comparison, I've never spent the kind of money on waves or UAD products (per plugin) that i have on slate, and they're rock solid. I've really bought into everything Steven's done for years and really admire what he's doing but for a company that's selling itself on professional products I just have way to many crashes/bugs/weird behaviours that shouldn't be there. If I take my apollo hardware out of the equation, I've spent more money on slate products than any others. The sound of slate plugins is absolutely great, but it just feels there's always something that gets in the way and I'm just getting tired of it. Unfortunately that's panned out the way VCC and FG-X did (not sure when the last updates for either were but there are acknowledged bugs in both that still haven't been fixed). I remember at the end of last year asking about updates for slate drums/trigger and was led to believe that there would be something in January of this year. Also VMR seems way more sluggish in logic than PT for me which seems strange, although luckily i'm almost always in PT. Once my ears recover, i'm always concerned about what it could do to my monitors. VMR has had a similar issue in the past for me when it was producing a long stream of loud noise but that seems to be solved. reload a session in the afternoon and i'm greeted by a load pulsing noise from VTM which nearly blows my head off. Having one of those uhhh days with slate products.ĭid the latest updates for VMR and VTM, load it in a few sessions and all working fine. ![]()
